Window Open Call for hARTslane Artist Members

At the front of hARTslane is a small square window with an arched top — a public-facing space, on show 24/7 to Harts Lane and its passing foot traffic.

In 2015, artist Clive Burton installed Retina, a reflective sculpture distorting the street opposite. In 2025, we handed the space to our artist members via open call, resulting in Ted Brunning’s Silent Forms — a grid of casted speakers.

This summer, we’re inviting hARTslane Artist Members to propose new work for the window, on show from November 2026–27.

The Space

  • Dimensions: 83cm x 73cm x 5cm
  • Materials budget: £100
  • Context: Harts Lane is residential, with a large brick wall opposite & a cul-de-sac at the street’s end — high foot traffic, low passing distraction

Key Dates

  • Open Call: 29th July – 10th September
  • Decision announced: 17th September
  • Launch night: Saturday 7th November, 5–8pm
