hARTslane Autumn Open Studios

Saturday 7th November 2026, 2-7pm

FULLY BOOKED

Deadline to sign up:  Tuesday 3rd November or when slots are filled

As part of hARTslane Artist Membership, we host Open Studios twice a year — free and open to all artist members. It’s an opportunity to receive peer and professional feedback on your work in a relaxed, supportive environment.

About the Day
This session will include a Feedback Speed Dating activity: Over the course of an hour each artist receives several two-minute feedback rounds — a quick-fire way to gather fresh perspectives on your work.
Come prepared – bring a notepad and pen if you’d like to take notes.

Tables and plinths will be provided. Please note that each artist may display one piece of work, and artists are responsible for their own work and any equipment needed to present it safely.

There are 8 places available, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Schedule for the day:

–  2-3pm, Artists install their work

–  3-4pm, Speed dating feedback session: a lively and engaging format where artists give and receive brief feedback from their peers

– 4-5:30pm, Crits; each artist has 10 minutes to present and talk about their work, followed by discussion. The crit will be guided by artist Chris Marshall LG. Here is a link to Chris’ work:

–  5:30 – 7pm, Open to the public for informal conversations with the artists about their work

hARTslane and The London Group
hARTslane is proud to have partnered with The London Group. Each open studio crit session will be facilitated by an artist member from The London Group.

“The London Group is the UK’s longest-running and most prestigious artists’ collective

The London Group was set up in 1913 by thirty two artists including Walter Sickert, Jacob Epstein, Wyndham Lewis, David Bomberg, Sylvia Gosse, Ethel Sands and Henri Gaudier Brzeska, with the aim of creating a powerful artist-run group to act as a counter-balance to institutions such as the Royal Academy. The founding group created a unique structure for an organisation, that has gone on to successfully nurture the careers of many of Britain’s best-known artists.” You can read more about the history of the Group here.
